Alarm Clock for Me uses these permissions. Calendar, camera, location, and music & audio are each optional, so you only need to grant them if you want to use their relevant features. You can deny any or all of them, and the rest of the app will still be usable:
Calendar Android only: Optional. Lets you link timers and alarms to calendar events.
[Camera/Photos -- iOS is photos, but Android should be Camera]: Optional. Lets you choose custom pictures in countdown timers.
Location: Optional. Lets you use automatically selected weather forecasts.
Music & Audio: Optional. Lets you customize alarm sounds.
Notifications: Required. Without it, alarms and timers cannot ring, which is the core functionality of the app.
